The Faculty of Law (UP Law) at the University of Pretoria (UP) extends hearty congratulations to Dr Joel Modiri who has been appointed as the Acting Head of its Department of Jurisprudence from 1 October 2020.
In her reaction to Dr Modiri's appointment, Dean Elsabe Schoeman wished him the very best with this new venture. 'Congratulations on your appointment, Joel, and welcome to UP Law's management team.' She also expressed 'UP Law's heartfelt appreciation to outgoing Acting HoD, Prof Anton Kok, for the services he has rendered in the Department and to UP Law.'
Observing #BlackHistoryMonth, the Faculty of Law at Oxford University are interviewing students, academics and alumni on their backgrounds, experiences, challenges and goals. AfOx Law Fellow Dr Joel Modiri was profiled as their first interviewee.
