What is JuniorTukkie all about?

Become a JuniorTukkie (JT) and you will be more prepared to make that leap from high school to university with ease! The JuniorTukkie programme offers you the warmth of friendship, the opportunity to serve and the chance to acquire a range of critical life skills – all of which will impact on you during your study years and after graduation.

 

Join the JT Club for learners from Grade 9 to 12 with an academic average of 70% or more and we’ll help you to:

  • Have a good understanding about the subjects you will need to be considered for studies in your chosen career field

  • Understand the admission and selection requirements for your chosen programmes

  • Complete your application to study at Tuks

  • Be prepared for the demands of your chosen programme

  • Improve your marks in various subjects by participating in the enrichment programmes in Mathematics, Physical Science, Life Sciences and Accounting

 

Join the JT Student Ambassador Society for UP students from first- to final-year and we will:

  • Equip you with the skills and emotional intelligence to succeed at university

  • Prepare you for a wonderful and balanced student life

  • Help you face any challenges you may experience as a student

  • Expose you to enrichment programmes in Physics, Chemistry and Calculus

  • Develop your leadership skills

  • Expand your communication, organisation, computer and time management skills

  • Help you thrive at university and to graduate on time

 

Join the JT Alumni for UP students from third- to final-year, graduates and postgraduates and we provide you with the opportunity to:

  • Invest in the lives of future JT generations

  • Contribute your expertise, time and if you wish, a once-off or monthly donation towards the JT Sustainability Fund

  • Participate in social development programmes

  • Attain personal and professional capabilities that will distinguish you professionally

  • Establish rewarding friendships with your peers which will enrich your life
