UP is committed to a culture of zero tolerance towards fraud, corruption and irregular behaviour. You can help us to achieve this by reporting alleged irregularities and unethical conduct on the UP Ethics Hotline, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Who can use the Hotline?
Staff, students, alumni, donors, external service providers and members of the public.
Who operates the Hotline?
Mazars Forensic Services is an independent audit firm that operates the Hotline on behalf of the University
Will they know who made the call?
Whistle-blowers are protected from victimisation by the UP Whistle-blowers policy and legislation. Whistle-blowers have an option to remain anonymous.
What should I report?
Criminal offences, misconduct and unethical behaviour, such as dishonesty, forgery and damage to the environment and to property, violations of health and safety regulations, and other activities that contravene legislation, existing policies and established ethical practices at UP as well as any other University rule excluding employment grievances.
FOLLOW THREE EASY STEPS
Step 1: Select a communication channel
Step 2: Report
Report your concerns indicating the nature of the incident, in which faculty/department/division it took place, date and time of incident, how long it has been going on, how often it happens, number of people involved and names, who knows about it, etc.
Step 3: Investigation
You will receive a confidential reference number from the operator. The matter will then be investigated internally. It may also be referred to a law enforcement agency.
