“As a master’s student in Innovation and Technology Management at the University of Pretoria, I’ve always been passionate about driving innovation and creating solutions that have a real impact. My studies have provided me with a strong foundation in managing technological advancements, but I’ve always believed that the best learning happens when theory meets practice. That’s why I’m incredibly excited about my upcoming opportunity to spend two months as an exchange student at Nord University in Norway.

This short-term exchange program is a unique chance for me to broaden my perspective and immerse myself in a different academic environment. Nord University is known for its forward- thinking approach to sustainability and innovation, areas that align perfectly with my own interests. Even though my time there will be brief, I’m eager to soak up as much knowledge as possible.

In the two months, I’ll also be placed in a host company where I’ll gain hands-on engineering exposure. This is an opportunity I’m particularly excited about, as it will allow me to apply the concepts I’ve been studying in real-world situations. Working in a Norwegian company, especially in a country known for its technological and sustainable innovations, will be an invaluable experience. This placement will give me the chance to collaborate with experienced professionals, learn from their expertise, and contribute my own ideas to ongoing projects.

Though the exchange is only for two months, I’m confident that the experience will have a lasting impact on both my academic and professional journey. Moving to Norway, even for a short time, is a significant step, and I’m excited to embrace the cultural differences and new ways of thinking that come with it. I believe that this experience will help me grow not only as a student but as a global innovator.

As I prepare for this exchange, I’m filled with a sense of anticipation and readiness. I know that the time will fly by, but I’m determined to make the most of every moment, learning as much as I can and contributing meaningfully to both my studies and my career going forward.
