The National Science and Technology Forum (NSTF) was founded in 1998 to recognise outstanding contributions to science, engineering, technology, and innovation in South Africa. Known as the Science Oscars, the NSTF-South32 Awards are the most sought-after national award of its kind.

The Graduate School of Technology Management (GSTM) would like to congratulate Dr Schalk Grobbelaar for his prestigious and well-deserved Green Economy Award nomination.

Dr Grobbelaar is a Senior Lecturer and Chairperson: York Timbers Chair in Wood Structural Engineering for a Sustainable Built Environment and African Bio-economy, for the Department of Engineering and Technology Management at the University of Pretoria.
