During the past 10 years the South African Engineering and Construction industry has witnessed a substantial decline inmarket value. With limited work and contracts, the industry is facing many challenges to stay afloat, retain competenciesand prepare for a potential market improvement.
In order to address these challenges a series of workshops andinterventions were held under the Public Private Growth Initiative (PPGI) to identify inhibitors and solutions facing theindustry. This presentation aims to present these inhibitors and solutions and the progress made addressing each on anational level.
