About Us

The School of Engineering has embarked on a growth strategy over the last decade given the shortage of engineering skills in South Africa. This resulted in a significant increase in engineering student numbers.

Our team manages the Engineering Computer Labs as well as the Goldfields Computer Lab

The Engineering Computer Lab serves a vital role in the School of Engineering’s strategy to increase the success of engineering students by providing facilities for computer-based classes and general use. Such a facility has become a necessity due to the complexity of the software that engineering students will use throughout their studies. This computer lab provides students with the necessary resources to complete course work and familiarise themselves with industry-standard software.

The Engineering Computer Labs is situated in the Natural Sciences 2 Building, level 2.
