SPMA successfully hosts Annual International Conference
The School of Public Management and Administration (SPMA) hosted a very successful 9th Annual International Conference on Public Management and Administration from 26 to 27 October 2016.
The Director of the SPMA, Prof Margaret Chitiga-Mabugu, opened the conference by welcoming distinguished guests such as Prof. Elsabé Loots, Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences, and Dr Hilton Fisher, Ambassador to Chile and UP alumni, as well as delegates, SPMA staff and students. The conference drew delegates from various government departments, municipalities, universities in South Africa, other parts of Africa and North America. Dr Fisher’s keynote address focused on the significance of social cohesion in the context of South Africa as a developmental state.
