DEMPS staff go to China for conference

Posted on May 31, 2011

ISER was created in 2005 by The University of Kentucky (United States), the University of Jyväskylä (Finland), the University of Pretoria (South Africa) and the National Training Center for Secondary School Principals (NTCSSP) at East China Normal University to enhance understanding of global educational reform among graduate students, school practitioners, professors and policy makers.
The theme for the 2011 Symposium, the 7th for ISER, is School Leadership, encompassing the roles or principals, educators and students as leaders.
This year’s conference will include lectures, seminars and Research and Practitioner Forums lead by prominent international scholars and educators as well as graduate-level seminars with students from Finland, South Africa, the US and China.
Apart from the serious business of the conference, the delegation, hopes to be able to visit such sites as the Great Wall and Tiananmen Square, returning again to South Africa on 21 June.
