The annual conference is regularly attended by economists from around the world. More than 450 scholarly sessions are organized each year and the official numbers of attendees were 10 665 in 2010.. Prof Koch also attended the Annual General Meeting of the African Finance and Economics Association, after having been elected as a member of the Board of Directors.
