Economic Society of South Africa

Founded in 1925, the primary goal of the Economic Society of South Africa (ESSA) is to promote discussion of economic issues -- both theoretical and applied. It subscribes to no ideology and welcomes contributions on any economic topic of a theoretical, applied or policy nature. It welcomes critical discussion of views previously published in the Journal.

The South African Journal of Economics is the official journal of the Society. It has been published since 1933. The current editor is Steve Koch (University of Pretoria). The production editor is Virginia Bruncano ([email protected]).
