Dregeana Day House is coming home!

In the peculiar and strange times that we as students find ourselves in we want to make sure Dregeana and any university student can have the chance to find comfort in some of our familiar activities although they are online. We want to take the challenge of going online and turn it into an opportunity to discover new ways of keeping day students active in the House. We want to innovate but keep it as productive as possible to encourage students to keep staying active and study while having some fun in between.

We have already had some innovation in hosting a WhatsApp group game called Dregeana Whodunit which is basically like a virtual Cluedo with a twist!  We have already started participating in a Mask Making Movement hosed by Die Student which aims to encourage students with the resources to make masks in a challenge to see which residence can make the most! Our Social Media Executive Committee member also had a brilliant idea to make a 12 day song challenge which was received extremely well.

We intend to have many more online challenges which promotes fitness and also challenge the other Faculty or Day houses to participate to keep in touch with our fellow students which are not necessarily in Dregeana. We are looking to have many more events like: online socials on Discord, online mental health sessions in partnership with Mandown at UP, online E-Sports events and an A Capella Montage with the gentleman from the Dregeana A Capella group.

Dregeana is very excited to be working on a Leadership Development online course which we intend to share on our pages and as a full video to any establishment or group which would like to make use of it in the near future.

Anyone can join in on our activities by visiting our Facebook (Dregeana Day House) or Instagram page (@dregeana). Any male student from UP can join the House even though we are online by going to our website and following the Join Us tab. This will enable you to join our communication group to receive even more up to date information!
