The Mentorship Programme

Vision:

To give guidance to anybody, especially First years, in Dregeana in not only academics but also the social part of students life.  To provide a safe environment for all members of Dregeana to be able to get help in whichever situation they may find themselves, whether it be adapting to life as a university student (finding the balance) or personal wellbeing.  Our vision entails striving towards the nine values of Dregeana: Respect, Integrity, Pride, Humility, Commitment, Fairness, Accountability, Relevance and Excellence.

Mission:

To create opportunities where brotherhood and unity can be formed.  To focus not only on the importance of academics but also having fun as students to experience the full student life.  To establish values in student lives that can help guide them in their everyday lives through leading by example.  To make a difference in someone’s live!

Goal:

• Firstly to provide a program that will be there to aid any struggling member of Dregeana in any way possible.
• To focus on the importance of academic wellbeing.
• Helping members to experience the Social part of student life.
• Giving First years the guidance to adapt to the student life.
• Creating bigger interaction between First years, Semi-senior, Senior and Alumni members in Dregeana.
• To not only focus on Academics but also the importance of Social and Wellbeing.
• To create a program that will increase member participation and re-registration.
