On 7 February 2018, the first round of Dregeana UP A Capella Auditions were held in the Castiletto Boardroom over the course of two fiercely competitive days of vocal capability demonstration. After eliminating 52 candidates, our panel of judges constructed what is now known as the prestigious 2018 Serenade group of Dregeana Day House. 7 months of blood, sweat and tears have boiled down to the official UP A Capella competition.

On Sunday, 29 July, Dregeana Day House hosted a Serenade House Performance at Tuks Chapel at which we featured the reputable House Erika, winners of the UP A Capella 2018 competition; as well as the top-notch, talented Ladies Residence from the North-West University, Wag-‘n-Bietjie Dameskoshuis. Notwithstanding inviting the public to attend, this event focused on showcasing our hard work to friends and family, people that our members are especially appreciative of. We thank you for your support!

On Monday, 6 August, Dregeana will be marching onto the heated hardwood of the Musaion for the Prelims where we will assuredly give you everything we’ve got – we hope to see you there!
