What does it mean to be a part of Dregeana Day House?

This is what a few of our members said the House means to them.

“Dregeana’s vision is to provide a place where every Day Student can belong and feel valued. To me this is not just something that stands on their website or a nice phrase someone thought out. It is what is happening at Dregeana. Dregeana is a brotherhood where it doesn’t matter who you are there is a special place for you, where you then can passionately and proudly participate and excel in anything you want while you are being supported by the other House members.” Juan Swanepoel

“To me Dregeana means brotherhood. To me it is far more than just a Day House, it is about connecting with other people, embracing diversity and learning from one another since the House is extremely diverse socially, culturally and otherwise.” Vincent Mokoena

“Dregeana is my home away from home. It's a home I go to to touch base, it keeps me grounded. My closest circle of people are from Dregeana. It's a warm environment I keep warm is when the storm hits. Dregeana is my family.” Kelvin Essien

“Dregeana, Sons of Thunder, the Gentlemen - the Brotherhood. It's the fellowship, the community - the lifestyle I want to be a part of. It's the ideology that will take our generation to new heights. It's now become a part of me.” John-Jon Steyn

“Dregeana is a place where I've learnt to express myself freely without fear of judgement. It is a place where I feel valued and welcome. It is where I've met brothers and learnt important life lessons even if my time has been brief it's been one of the best experiences of my life.” Hennie Duvenhage
