Burn goes to Paris

Drama lecturer Bailey Snyman will be travelling to Paris France to perform his most recent creative research work BURN.

BURN was choreographed in 2015 and premiered in Iceland in 2016 with follow-up performances in Greece and Norway. The work had its South African premiere at the National Arts Festival and was awarded a Standard Bank Ovation Award.

Snyman will perform with musician and performer Daniel Geddes from Liquid Fusion.

BURN is the clash of two bodies, as they play with fire and get burnt.

Humanity is the Earth’s most intimate friend. BURN explores the tense relationship that man has with his best friend, and how the two hold each other ransom. A full-length duet, strong, powerful and explosive, BURN is an ambitious dance work that tests the limits of the human body.
