THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND – TOM STOPPARD

Directors: Candice Botha and Danielle Britz

Who is the real inspector hound? Where does one draw the line with one’s suspension of disbelief? This comical murder mystery follows two theatre critics as they are tasked with trying to make sense of this shower of filth and sexual allusion, hoisted on to an unsuspecting public. The lines between reality and fantasy are blurred as Birdboot and Moon are drawn inexorably into the world of the Muldoon Manor whodunit, set in the desolate marshes in Hartebeespoort.

Between Toy Boys and false pretences, this psychotically normal family tries to find the meaning of life, love and happiness. Everyone has two sides, why not let them out and show you what they really mean? Characters act as each other’s subtext in this stylistically adapted one act play is sure to have you come along for the ride. A real slice of a post-modern life where all we want is to live a perfect life.
