Extraordinary Professor Marth Munro qualifies as Master Teacher in Lessac Kinesensics training

In July 2015, Marth Munro, Professor Extraordinaire in the Drama Department, University of Pretoria has been recognised by the Master Teacher Council of the Lessac Kinesensics Research and Training Institute as a new Master Teacher in Lessac Kinesensic Training. Training towards Master teachership is by invitation only and Marth was invited by the Institute to enter the process, which consists out of two years in intensive training and engagement with existing Master Teachers, in 2013. During that time, she taught at three Intensive workshops—two in South Africa and one in the United States, as well as presented two shorter workshops for actors and for teachers in South Africa. She has mentored six students who have become Lessac Practitioners, and three of them are now pursuing certification. She is the 6th Master Teacher recognised by the Institute and the only one outside the USA.

She is chair of the Research Committee of the Lessac Institute and received news that she is the 2016 recipient of the “Lessac Leadership Award".
