The University of Pretoria’s third-year and honours drama students will showcase their movement and choreography talents over four nights of performances developed around the thematic concern of ‘statements’.
The third-year students, along with physical theatre practitioner, Mduduzi Nhlapo, have created a series of eight physical theatre works that make statements about one place and one event in time. The honours students will showcase original statements through choreography that will be performed in trios and quartets. A new work called A Sense of Touch by award-winning choreographer Nicola Haskins, assisted by Bailey Snyman, will also be presented by the honours students.
The performances will take place on 27, 28, 29 and 30 May from 18:00 to 20:00 in the Masker theatre on the Hatfield Campus.
Tickets are R20 each and can only be purchased electronically. Bookings can be made telephonically with receptionist Marcia on 012 420 2558. Refreshments will be sold at the venue.
