The award was awarded by the ATKV as part of their national trials for teen theatre productions, which took place during this year’s Aardklop arts festival. The play is about the complex relationship between a mother and her teenage daughter, a relationship through which the theme of teen sex is acutely addressed. “Kolom”, produced by High School Louis Trichardt, was also awarded best actress (Larissa Venter) and was also crowned as best teen play by the ATKV.
