Sheila Mnisi joined the Department of Library Services as an Administrative Officer within the Finance Unit in December 2024. Previously, she served as a Management Assistant in the Department of Research and Innovation, supporting the office of the Senior Director. She holds a B.Com Honours in Financial Management from Regent Business School and is planning to pursue her Master’s degree in the near future.

1. What energizes you at work?
A good working environment and solving matters as best as I can
2. What’s a mistake you made early on in your career, and what did you learn from it?
Postponing furthering my studies for later because of personal matters, I should have done it sooner.
3. What’s your biggest work pet peeve?
People who bring their personal issues at work and cause tension for everyone in the office.
4. What energizes you outside of work?
Listening to old and new music.
5. What advice would you give to your teenage self?
Appreciate everything your parents/guardians teach you, adulting is not an easy journey.
6. If you could add one thing to the DLS office, what would it be?
Once every 2 months Tea and Coffee or lunch catch up sessions with team members, outside of the office and/or campus.
