Staff from the Department of Library Services at the University of Pretoria visited Pretoria East Primary School on Thursday, 16 February 2017 in celebration of World Read Aloud Day. While at the school, they read to 107 children and donated books and Easter eggs.

Webometrics recently released the first edition of its repository rankings for 2017, in which it ranked UPSpace as the best in Africa and within the top 100 worldwide.
