Getting to know Mpho:

1. What do you do at University of Pretoria and in what circumstances would I come to you for something?

When you need customer or user input to shape a new product or service, enhance an existing one, or gather feedback on how your offerings are performing in the market, I’m here to help. My focus is on ensuring that your products and services are intuitive, accessible, and enjoyable to use. This approach not only leads to happier, more satisfied customers but also strengthens their loyalty and connection to your brand.

2. Are you an early bird or a night owl?

Definitely a night owl – I work better with limited distractions and noise from the kids.

3. What was your first job?

I worked as a sales consultant for the Hewlett-Packard (HP) store selling laptops, printers and consumables.

4. What led you to this career?

As a psychology graduate, I have not had the best of luck getting into any of the Master’s programs. I therefore found a way to work with people to help fix the experiences on digital platforms. I make the world a better place by improving products and services, mostly from a digital POV (point of view).

5. How do you prefer to end your day?

Nothing beats some Gregory Porter, Vincent Ingala and Tom Misch music, paired with a good glass of white wine – Chardonnay to be specific.

6. If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?

A neuropsychologist. I am extremely fascinated by the behind the scenes of the human brain, which make us who we are and influences our everyday behaviors.
