Farewell to Una Mgwenya

The Department of Library Services (DLS) extends its heartfelt farewell to Una Mgwenya, Senior Management Assistant, who has officially retired after 20 years of dedicated service at the Department of Library Services, University of Pretoria (UP).

Una became an integral part of the UP family in 2003 during the integration of Vista University and the University of Pretoria at the Mamelodi campus. Later, she seamlessly transitioned to the Hatfield campus, where she joined the Management Assistants' teams. In 2022, Una was appointed as a Senior Management Assistant at the Director's office, where her contributions were invaluable.

Una's warm and friendly demeanor, coupled with her professionalism and willingness to assist, made her a beloved and respected member of the team. Her positive impact on colleagues and the broader UP community will be cherished and remembered fondly.

As Una embarks on the next chapter of her journey, the DLS extends its best wishes for a fulfilling and joyful retirement. May this new phase be filled with happiness, prosperity, and well-deserved relaxation.
