Paws for Stress Relief: Join TOP Dogs for an Exam Season Therapy Session

Posted on May 03, 2024

Get ready to wag your stress goodbye! The Department of Library Services (DLS) is thrilled to announce the return of our beloved furry therapists in the fourth week of May 2024. That's right, TOP Dogs, the biggest dog therapy organization in Gauteng, will make their rounds to the Hatfield campus to lend a paw and uplift spirits.

Here's where you can find these adorable canines:

  • 20 May 2023, 12:00 – 13:00: Hatfield campus, on the lawn in front of the Merensky 2 Library. Register here
  • 22 May 2023, 12:00 – 13:00: Hatfield campus, on the lawn in front of the Merensky 2 Library. Register here

We know exam time can be ruff, but fear not! Research has shown that spending time with animals can significantly reduce stress and promote relaxation. So, take fifteen minutes out of your busy schedule to cuddle up with these friendly doggos and experience their pawsitive vibes firsthand!

And for those who may be a tad wary of our four-legged friends, these pups are carefully selected and fully trained therapy professionals. Their mission? To provide you with comfort and emotional support. They're as calm as a breeze, as friendly as can be, and impeccably well-behaved.

Kind request: If you can lend a helping paw, TOP Dogs would greatly appreciate any donations. Their banking details are TOP Dogs, ABSA 4107754198, branch code 632005.

We can't wait to see you having a ball at one of these events!
