The Department of Library Services presents the South African Library Week competition!

The Library and Information Association of South Africa (LIASA) will be celebrating South African Library Week from 18-24 March 2024 with the theme “Libraries: Foster Social Cohesion “. The theme “Libraries Foster Social Cohesion” highlights the role libraries play in connecting cultures and fostering unity. These vibrant hubs provide access to knowledge, technology, and diverse programs, bringing people together to share ideas, experiences, and a sense of purpose. Serving as safe spaces, libraries play a crucial role in promoting social cohesion among communities.

This is what you have to do!

Answer any 3 questions:

1. Have you made new friends at the library? Share your experience!

2. Do you participate in any group activities or events at the library? If yes, which ones, and what do you enjoy about them?

3. Have you ever collaborated with others on projects or assignments at the library? How did the library facilitate this collaboration?
