Important update regarding the Merensky 1 & 2 fire rational upgrade

We are pleased to share significant progress on the Fire Rational Upgrade project, marked by the following key developments:

• Substantial advancements have been made in the renovation of the main staircases.

• Over the upcoming weekend, the Contractor will initiate the installation of new fire doors, which will notably impact the Study center on level 2.

• To facilitate the installation of the fire curtain, the contractor will be setting up scaffolding in the atrium. This process is scheduled for completion by Monday. We anticipate that this phase will entail some noise and disruptions. Once the scaffolding is in place, the subsequent step involves carefully removing the atrium wall. Depending on the work's intensity, there may be a need to temporarily close the library. Rest assured, you will be promptly informed should such a closure become necessary.

• During this period, water dispensers on Level 3 and 5 (southern side) will be temporarily unavailable. Additionally, work related to the project will impact desks and computers adjacent to the lift on level 3.

• The Wall Art initiative, encompassing both written messages and graphic depictions, continues to gather momentum. We invite you to actively participate and share your sentiments!
