Need a helping hand… or PAW…during this upcoming exam season?

The Department of Library Services (DLS) is pleased to announce that there will be a return of our
favourite furry friends in the last week of May 2023. TOP Dogs, the largest dog therapy organisation in
Gauteng will be visiting various campuses to help students and staff with stress relief and mood
elevation.

The TOP Dogs can be found at the following venues:

• 22 May 2023 at 12:00 – 13:00: Hatfield campus on the lawn in front of the Merensky 2 Library.

The library understands that during exam time, students can get anxious and tense. However,
research has shown that humans’ interaction with animals causes relaxation and stress relief. Give as
little as five minutes of your time to these friendly doggos and experience their positive effect yourself!

For those who are a little wary of canines please note: these pups are carefully selected and fully
trained therapy professionals and their role is to provide you with comfort and emotional support.
They are calm, friendly and paws-itvely well behaved.
