Load-shedding implications in the Merensky 2 Library

Important notice for all library users:

The Merensky 2 Library’s generators have been experiencing technical problems since Tuesday night (2 May 2023). The UP facilities department is tending to the problem and trying to get it sorted out as soon as possible.

However, please note that we might experience blackouts during load-shedding sessions.

• Please familiarize yourself with the load-shedding schedule to avoid this affecting your studies.
• Please refrain from using the library elevators during this time and rather opt for the stairs.
