Academic Integrity Series

Posted on January 23, 2023

Academic integrity means acting with the values of honesty, trust, fairness, respect, and responsibility in learning, teaching, and research. It is important for students, teachers, researchers, and all staff to act honestly, be responsible for their actions, and show fairness in every part of their work.

The Department of Library Services (DLS) recognises academic integrity as a critical component to achieving its strategic objectives and supporting the university's goals for teaching, learning, and research. As such, the DLS hosted an academic integrity series in November to raise awareness and educate students and staff on the key areas of ensuring academic integrity. Some of the topics addressed included fake news, plagiarism, referencing, and much more!

Thank you to all the colleagues who contributed to making this series an informative and valuable one.
