Feast of Clowns: Storytelling Workshop

The DLS hosted the Feast of Clowns Storytelling Workshop in collaboration with Nal'ibali and the National Reading Collaboration. The event was a great success and interactive with representatives from the Northwest University, Bolt Foundation, ECD's Tshwane Community Outreach, Learn to Read, Lutheran Primary School, Education Campus, House of Prayer Daycare, and the Speech-Language Pathology Centre for Faith and Community.

The beautiful origami figures, an exhibition of books from Bookmark, paper boats filled with sweets, hungry bookworms, packs of donated books, and balloons created a festive atmosphere.

A lot of fun was had by the attendees, with the reading of the group versions of "I am a banana". The level of fun correlated with the noise levels - which led to colleague Tlou Mathiba from Open Scholarship trying to manage the noise levels with the constant: "Keep it down"...
