On 9 May 2022, the Learning Centre, in collaboration with the Marketing and Quality Assurance Unit, hosted a Youth Day Hybrid Event where keynote speaker, Tshepiso Malema, addressed the audience on his path to becoming a successful Gaming Entrepreneur.
He gave an inspirational presentation on his journey and how he also sows back and supports his community. Tshepiso also gave tips and advice to young entrepreneurs on how to set goals and grow their businesses through hard work and perseverance. The audience was amazed to also learn how many other students were entrepreneurs and innovative thinkers. The event was a huge success with 70 people in attendance, 28 in person, and 42 online. They all were inspired and in awe of Tshepiso's achievements at such a young age.
It was also very clear that the students loved the interactive event after a long period of lockdown restrictions and that there is a yearning for more in-person events such as this one.
