Dr Hendrik Prinsloo from the Department of Construction economics was elected as President of the Associated Schools of Construction of Southern Africa (ASOCSA) during the Annual Conference that took place in Durban from 6 to 8 August 2017.  The President is elected from all member organisations (Universities, Government and Industry Partners) in Southern Africa on the basis of the candidate’s standing in the academic community and his or her experience in the construction industry in Southern Africa.

The Associated Schools of Construction of Southern Africa is an internationally recognised professional body established to promote, facilitate, develop and monitor the relevance and quality of construction related education, research and graduates in conjunction with higher education institutions, industry and government in Southern Africa.
