During the ASAQS conference held on 7 June 2016, Prof. Tinus Maritz was honoured with a certificate of recognition for his outstanding service to the QS profession.  Prof Tinus was awarded for the work he did on the Preliminaries Committee, the committee responsible for compiling the ASAQS Preliminaries and Bill No.1. The ASAQS President, Dr. Stephan Ramabodu, handed this award to Prof. Tinus.

Prof. Maritz also generously gave away 100 copies of the book he wrote with Prof. Siglé to those attending the conference.  The book is titled "Quantity Surveying Practice in South Africa" and the latest revised copy is available for purchase from the ASAQS shop.
