Bjorn Andersen is the proud winner of the ASAQS Gold Medal award for best quantity surveying student in South Africa in 2014.  This was the second consecutive year that the ASAQS Gold Medal was awarded to a Tuks quantity surveying student.  This award is given to the student whose academic achievements are of outstanding merit and whose personal qualities promise to positively contribute to the profession. Bjorn obtained both his BSc (QS) and BSc (QS) (Hons) degrees with distinction at the Department of Construction Economics.  The road to success for Bjorn was not an easy one and it took a lot of hard work and dedication.  He says that anyone can achieve the same if they put their mind to it.
