Aalborg Visit

Riaan Jansen, Lecturer in the Department of Construction Economics visited Aalborg in Denmark recently to deliver a paper, Land reform: Economically viable for the agricultural sector?, at the  International Academic Group on Planning, Law And Property Rights III Conference.

He brought back the following memories:

This building was designed by the same architect as the Sydney Opera House. It forms a barrier between the town and harbour/industrial area. A water front development is also planned for the near future.

Conference delegates’ site visit to farms in the vicinity of Aalborg. Due to excessive manganese in the soil, the farms have been expropriated and are now being utilised for forestry.
