The reason is that the mass earthworks contract has been completed and that we are ready to start on the construction of the engineering/parkade building.

Stefanutti Stocks has been appointed as the main contractor for the construction phase and the building site was formally handed over to them on 9 September 2009. The planned project completion date is early 2011.

The project team is well aware of the dust problem that is experienced in facilities adjacent to the construction site. All reasonable precautions are taken to alleviate the problem. This includes wetting the connecting dirt road between Senate Road and the Ring Road on a continual basis as from 11 September 2009.  Tarring of the connecting road will also have a high priority within the total project schedule. Your patience in this regard is appreciated.
