Rasch enthusiasts from the University of Pretoria, UNISA, University of Johannesburg, Wits University, Umalusi, and the Department of Basic Education joined the meeting. Also present was Dr Vanessa Scherman from UNISA, a leading researcher in the use of mixed methods in educational psychology research. Ms Combrick’s opening presentation was on using Rasch to unpack methodological norms, Mr Mishack Tshele (Data Manager at CEA) presented on how to target the test to a population. Mrs Sandra van Niekerk presented on the use of Rasch analysis for developing a questionnaire about Assessment for learning. The 2^nd RMT Professional Learning Community meeting was held  at Wits on the 8^th September.
