Over the past decade they have visited the team of researchers at the CEA frequently and have acted as consultants on numerous research projects. They have also shared their expertise in postgraduate supervision, quantitative research and international comparative research.
Prof Plomp is currently emeritus professor at the University of Twente. He has served as Dean of the Faculty of Educational Science and Technology at the University of Twente from 1982 to 1985 and also as the Director of OCTO, the Institute of Applied Educational Research of the Faculty of Educational Science and Technology at Twente - from 1986 to1989.
An expert in evidence-based education, Prof Roel Bosker is currently working in the Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences at the University of Groningen. He is co-editor of School Effectiveness and School Improvement and member of the editorial board of School Leadership and Management. He is also a member of the Supervisory Board Koninklijke Kentalis. He further serves as Chair of the advisory board for primary education of the Netherlands National Institute for Educational Measurement ('Cito').
