Prof Wesley Rosslyn-Smith

A pioneer in higher education digital transformation and the future of work, Prof. Rosslyn-Smith holds the position of Associate Professor of Corporate Strategy and Turnaround Management at the University of Pretoria. Embracing the age of Industry 4.0, he actively engages in several professional associations within the turnaround management sector, significantly influencing the trajectory of contemporary business leadership.

Prof. Rosslyn-Smith currently serves as the director for the Centre for the Future of Work, where he champions ground-breaking digital transformation initiatives in partnership with the University and a network of global collaborators. He is also currently the interim director of the South Africa Centre for Industry and Technology (SACIT), a national, transdisciplinary centre focused on building purpose-driven, multistakeholder partnerships that can drive inclusive, sustainable, and technology-driven industrial transformation. The Centre is hosted at the University of Pretoria and is part of the World Economic Forum’s Global Network of Centres for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR).

His passion for corporate and turnaround strategy is reinforced by his extensive research on innovative turnaround methodologies, adaptive business rescue tactics, and data-driven results-based management. Prof. Rosslyn-Smith's dynamic and inventive approach, coupled with his transformational leadership, positions him at the forefront of shaping the digitally integrated work landscape for future generations.
