Supply Chain Management

The section for Supply Chain Management is a centre of excellence in the Department of Business Management at the University of Pretoria, with the aim of contributing towards the development of logistics and supply chain management practice in Africa.
 
We strive to keep South African industry at the cutting edge of new development through access to both local and international knowledge. To further enhance the development of supply chain practice, the local industry is benchmarked against the best international practice. To this end practitioners are invited to become part of a research network where knowledge is shared with the industry as a whole.
 
The Section for Supply Chain Management provides the following services in cooperation with Enterprises at the University of Pretoria (Pty) Ltd:
  • Management development programmes aimed at further developing the practitioner’s understanding of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
  • In-house programmes presented on the premises of a company, combining value for money and flexibility to tailor packages around unique needs.
  • Research aimed at industry-wide issues through benchmark programs but also company specific research aimed at strategy development.
