Imperial Logistics/Fast ‘n Fresh and BMW both won Environmental Awards. The awards were based on how a company contributed to the reduction of negative environmental issues in the transportation and automotive industry, respectively.

KWE/ Sumitomo received a Silver Award for its contribution toward a Supply Chain Solution within the Warehouse. Klipstone/Unitrans, Toyota SA, FREDD/ Crickmay and Colors Fruit all won Gold. General Motors SA/UTI walked away with Platinum, for its involvement in the design and implementation of an internationally integrated supply chain.

Clem Sunter, who is a well known strategic planner, gave a guest presentation at the seminar. All the students found his presentation particularly enlightening and enjoyed it thoroughly.

The event rendered as a very informative experience and gave each student insight into the real issues faced within the Supply Chain environment.
