The title of the paper was ’Killing two birds with one stone: Blending teaching and research in accounting education through the use of action research’. The aim of the research was to demonstrate to fellow accounting educators, including lecturers in Auditing, that action research can be used to enhance scholarship by producing research outputs and improving ways in which lectures facilitate learning.

The theme of the conference was ‘The challenge of responsible Accountancy Academic Citizenship: The quest to balance teaching, research and academic leadership’. Participants representing almost all the major role players in accounting education attended this event, which made it the ideal place to network with fellow accounting educators.
