Eric Magale is a conducting research on the development of the personal credit industry in Kenya since the 2000s and how the global discourse on financial inclusion positions itself in this growth. His passion is at the intersection of sustainable development and the finance that goes with it. His current research interests are in the areas of digital finance and green finance for development.

A chartered accountant (ACCA-UK), Eric has a background in finance and risk management, having started his career at Deloitte, spending this time there between the Kenya and Ethiopia. He holds a Masters of Commerce in Development Finance from the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Nairobi.
