Atabongwoung Gallous

Atabongwoung Gallous is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Development Studies at the University of Pretoria. He is a former Research Assistant at Thabo Mbeki African Leadership Institute, at the University of South Africa, and the former Project Coordinator of Thabo Mbeki African Leadership Institute Alumni Forum. His interest includes; African and European Culture Relations, Migration and Informal Entrepreneurship, Memory Studies, Thought Leadership and Good Governance for Africa, Conflict Resolution and Peace Building Initiatives. He is the co-regional coordinator of Memory Studies Association in Africa. He is a member of; South African Association of Political Studies (SAAPS), South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA) and Memory Studies Association (MSA). His publications include; Africa and the Euphoria of Decolonization: Morocco’s continual illegal occupation of Western Sahara, the great stalemate, Brain drain and brain gain in Africa among others.
