The Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences at the University of Pretoria celebrated the academic achievements of its top students at its annual Outstanding Achievers Function earlier in May this year.

The Mandela Rhodes Foundation recently announced the names of the 12th cohort of Mandela Rhodes scholars, who will make up the ‘Class of 2016’. Three students from the University of Pretoria are among those selected to be part of this elite group of students.

The Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics recently made their presence felt at the 58th Annual Congress of the South African Mathematics Society (SAMS). Two staff members were elected as council members and two PhD students received awards for their presentations.
