Prof Molly Brown

Prof. Molly Brown, is currently head of the English Department at the University of Pretoria, where she leads a faculty research theme on children’s literature. Her interests are varied but tend to cluster about aspects of medievalism and forms of the Romance from Malory and Spenser to Tolkien, Le Guin, H. Rider Haggard and J.K. Rowling. She is currently exploring the ways in which postcolonial children’s literature subverts or enters into dialogue with standard western tropes within this genre, particularly with regard to issues of race, gender, space, community and ecology.

Dr Cori Wielenga

Cori Wielenga holds a PhD in Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies from the University of KwaZulu Natal. She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Governance Innovation in the Department of Political Sciences at the University of Pretoria. Her research focuses on reconciliation, transitional justice, and post-conflict reconstruction in Africa.
