Professor Josua Meyer received the Chairman's Award
27 August 2015
We are proud to announce that Prof Josua Meyer from the Department of Mechanical & Aeronautical Engineering was awarded with the Chairman’s Award of the South African Institution of Refrigeration and Air-conditioning.
The award was for seminal research contributions over the past 25 years in the field of heat transfer with specific reference to the understanding and quantification of: heat pumps, optimum geometries of enhanced tubes, the influence of different types of inlets on transition and condensation heat transfer at different inclination angles.
All of this work is directly related to the development of more energy efficient equipment, which is widely used today in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry.
