THUSHO is one of the portfolios within the RAG committee and it is the Sotho word which means "Help", This is what we strive to provide to those who need it.

The THUSHO portfolio is the heart of UP RAG as it does not only promote giving back, but
practically advocates for civic community engagement initiatives geared at empowering
communities.

THUSHO projects seek to improve student life on campus by reaching out and to ensure self-
determination in the society and to make community engagement part of everyday life. The THUSHO
portfolio also facilitates initiatives done by RAG partnerships, which are UP residences, day and faculty
houses. RAG partnerships and the THUSHO EC work closely in analysing and identifying the needs
of different charity organizations and schools and come up with solution-focused initiatives to
empower the society through meaningful projects.
