


Our hearty congratulations to the following staff members for their graduating at the recent April graduation ceremony:
Naomi Yeboah Boakye received the degree Doctor of Philosophy for her thesis entitled
A Socio-Affective Approach to Improving Students' Reading Comprehension Abilities. Her supervisor was Prof. A Carstens and her external co-supervisor Prof. EJ Pretorius.
Melissa Adendorff received the degree Master of Arts in Ancient Languages and Culture Studies for her dissertation entitled
Where the Shadows Lie: Finding the Other in the Spatial Depictions of the Underworld in The Book of Enoch, Inferno and Paradise Lost. Her supervisor was Ms JH Schäder.
Bernard Naudé received the degree Bachelor of Arts Honours in English, with distinction. He received the Oxford University Press Award for the Top BA (Honours) English Finalist.
